Tim Edlund founded Softworks Group Inc. in 1989. As CEO, Tim is responsible for setting strategy for the company and takes a direct role in product development. Tim has maintained his technical expertise in database technologies and has been a major participant in R&D activities of Softworks since 2003. Prior to starting Softworks, he managed the Information Technology group in the consulting arm of Coopers and Lybrand.
Tim believes in a flat organization structure and operates in a collaborative management style. He works closely with the management team on developing and refining best practices for project management. Tim is a strong promoter of agile methodologies on both fixed price and time and material projects, and leads Softworks in adoption and refinement of SCRUM.
In addition to corporate work, Tim continues to be involved in project assignments including the upcoming releases of Alinity™ and Synoptec™.
Tim is married and has two teenage boys (… have pity on him). He enjoys staying fit, playing lacrosse and hockey and spends all together too much money on photography gear.
